Clinical Program Manager- CHOICES (NEW! SIGN-ON BONUS*)
The ideal candidate will provide clinical consultation and direct counseling for clients and assessments of client referrals to Interim’s Day Treatment Intensive Program and other programs as assigned; They will have direct oversight of client’s discharge planning to ensure that clients are moving out of the program when they no longer meet medical necessity. In addition, execute and implement the structure and curriculum of the program; assisting staff with curriculum development and strengthening group skills. The incumbent is also responsible for overview of client’s treatment services while in the program, providing clinical consultation and/or clinical supervision to staff. The incumbent’s responsibilities also include direct contact with clients, providing individual and group counseling.

$71,000-$92,000 Annually; Full Time; Exempt
Master's degree in a mental health related field, plus clinical license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist or RN); At least four years’ experience in a mental health field; Crisis work experience; Knowledge of psychiatric disorders; Excellent written and oral skills including basic word processing computer skills; Culturally competent; Group therapy experience and skills; Knowledge of psychotropic medications. Desirable: Knowledge of substance abuse disorders including drug and alcohol recovery principles; experience in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; two years post- license experience; ability to provide Clinical Supervision to program staff; Bilingual.
Valid California driver's license; auto in safe operating condition; auto liability insurance; good driving record; criminal record clearance; proof of authorization to work in the United States as required by Immigration and Reform Act of 1986. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Specialist will assist with the following duties:
Provides clinical consultation to Program Director and supervision to staff.
Participates in or reviews all intakes, assessing for appropriate level of care.
Reviews client charts and assist staff with developing treatment plans.
Provides oversight of client’s discharge planning, working closely with County and Interim Case Coordinators/Case Managers.
Assists with curriculum development.
Facilitates daily psychotherapy and adjunct therapy groups.
Provides client centered counseling and crisis intervention when needed.
Organizes and implements training program for staff.
Provides back-up support to staff during scheduled or unscheduled absences of Program Director.
Attends weekly staff meetings and other programmatic meetings as assigned by Program Director.
Liaison with County Behavioral Health System and other private and public social service and mental health agencies.
Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with program compliance Department of Healthcare Services Licensing regulations and Medi-Cal documentation regulations.
Assists Program Director with staff hires, trainings and orientations.
Other Duties as Assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to: operate a motor vehicle; climb stairs; possess good communication skills; meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.
